It all started as a story.

Solemates began as a simple tale told by a father to his children, one to answer the question:

“Where do missing socks go?”

But what could have stayed a small family’s bedtime story grew into a passion project nearly 20 years in the making. A turbulent home life for the family halted the progress of Solemates more times than they could count, but they never gave up on the dream to share this heartfelt tale with the world.

Now, as the children’s storybook is finally in development, the Trujillo Family has new goals to change the way children learn and enjoy studying language arts. They don’t plan on publishing strictly fiction but also teaching aides for public and private school teachers, parents, and daycare attendants to utilize in their classrooms.

Solemates tells the story of two brothers on the search for Utopia: a perfect place where all missing socks go to find their solemates and become pairs again. But before they reach this idyllic land, Cashmere and Burlap are separated, throwing two halves of their band of misfit socks, the Hosiery, into chaos. The groups must find a way back to each other through a rat-infested city, using their own newfound sight to battle the surveilling evils lurking in the dark.
